I had a full body massage by Lucy. She was very welcoming and made me feel at ease as I had never had a massage before. The room was decorated so nicely and added to the relaxing atmosphere. She adapted the   massage for me due to me breastfeeding and being unable to lie on my front. I felt so relaxed throughout and the massage was amazing. Will 100% be going back. I felt so relaxed afterwards I fell asleep by
".7.30pm. Can not recommend enough

"I visited Lucy's salon this afternoon for a deluxe facial. The environment is so calm and relaxing. Lucy made me feel entirely at ease. She immediately sensed my tension as i had arrived straight from work. She talked me through all of the products she was using, which smelt divine and the steps she was taking during the process. I could feel the tightness in my shoulders ease away as the facial began and my body began to relax. My skin feels so fresh and smells incredible. I will definitely be back for another in a few weeks and am about to book a hot stone massage after hearing of its benefits."

Service Description

As babies can't verbally communicate, the attachment bond is formed through non verbal communication and touch, so with each gentle stroke your baby will feel nurtured and loved. Massaging your baby will help with understanding your babies cues and behavioural states. Secure bonding stimulates the parts of the baby's brain responsible for interaction; communication and the ability to connect with others- providing baby with confidence; self awareness and trust. A great skin to skin activity for non breast feeding Mothers! As well as being a special time set aside for you to focus on your baby and strengthen your bond, it enables parents/caregivers to relax and in turn reduces stress and blood pressure. Baby massage stimulates the lymphatic; respiratory, digestive, nervous and circulatory systems. As well as relaxing and calming baby's, it eases tension; improves sleep patterns, enables self soothing, relieves the pain of growing, teething, congestion, colic, wind, constipation, cramps, ventouse and forceps births and the stress of premature births. I offer a 5 week course, (or less on request). By the end of it you will know how to massage your baby, through practical guided practise and weekly reference handouts available for you to take home. The fixed price is a one off payment covering 5 weeks. This course is available to babies who have had their first immunisations. The final session will cover specific massage techniques aimed at targeted areas and issues, to include; teething; colic and constipation. 1:1 and group sessions are available. Mats, cushions and neck pillows will be available for you and your baby, all you need to bring is 2 of your own blankets or towels. Group sessions will be an hour long, 1:1 sessions will be shorter- approximately 30 minutes. *Please allow time for an initial consultation to discuss any contraindications or cautions regarding the health of you and your baby and any adaptations that may be required. This can be done over the phone prior to your booking if you are aware of any known conditions or if you have any concerns you wish to discuss. Please see my Facebook posts for the next group session dates, times and venue. Group sessions will be held for up to 8 people. They are a great way for new moms to meet other moms and there will be time at the end of each session to have a hot drink and a chat if you wish. Dad's are also most welcome!
